Digg me

This has been one of the wackiest weeks I’ve seen in some time. I have been rather quiet about spending time with family this week during Spring Break, and have no idea why all this news needs to hit during my vacation.

counting_chicksLate Monday afternoon, I along with hundreds of Directors and Coach’s Corner Members received word that a “tentative settlement” had been reached concerning the California Litigation. News spread very quickly over the internet and the boards that a settlement was pending and the litigation would soon be over.

Critics of this news have been extremely busy trying to distract everyone with rumors of Directors leaving, (2 confirmed) and just this morning I found out that the SEC will most likely get a number of complaints that someone named “Travel Pro” was busy buying up shares of YTBLA.OB based on insider information. (I knew there was something I should have been doing instead of writing!)

The big stink currently is that the Attorney Generals office laid claim there is was no settlement, and would never allow YTB to continue in what it claims is a “gigantic pyramid scheme”.

While critics are holding out hope that YTB will now be punished by leaking news about the “tentative settlement” they had no idea that papers were filed in Superior Court on April 8th at 8:30AM, that California and YTB International have reached a tentative agreement to settle pending litigation by none other than James M. Toma, Deputy Attorney General. The Attorney General’s office asked the court to postpone the trial date to allow more time for the parties to work out final details of an agreement. The state has scheduled a number of depositions for April which would be costly to the state and would prove unnecessary if a final agreement is made.

My hat’s off to Nadine Goodwin of Travel Weekly who decided to go to the source to get credible information via the courts, the AG’s office and YTB Attorney’s instead of just regurgitating what she has read by those who do nothing more that write in order to get attention and spew slanted and unconfirmed stories.

As much as I’d love to slam Jerry Brown right now, I’ll bite my tongue. (As much as possible anyway.) How anyone could say one thing and his office do another really burns me. To now find out that a tentative settlement statement has actually been filed with the courts, by the AG’s office no less, is a point of concern that I’ll save for a later date.

Regardless, the papers have been filed with the courts via Mr. James Toma, and the tentative settlement is still in the works. (Although a little longer than originally anticipated.)

A very important lesson for our everyone involved right now. (Including me by the way.)

Don’t count your chickens until they’ve been hatched.

How Low Can You Go…

Digg me

I enjoy Trade Publications. I subscribe to a variety of publications in both electronic form and in traditional print. I’ve always enjoyed reading and learning about the industry, and have promoted learning as much as you can about any subject that interests you. There has never been a time in our history when so many mediums are available for someone to learn and develop a skill or a trade.

I’ve enjoyed the way suppliers and trade associations have embraced training, enabling me to learn about the industry. From seminars and webinars; from a training call or port of call via ship inspections, the variety of ways to learn and develop in this industry is abundant.

travel-agent-march-09I’ve seen many changes within the industry over the last several years when it comes to doling out credentials in the industry. I’ve also supported the upgrading of requirements for FAM eligibility from both suppliers and associations.

One thing that hasn’t changed much are the Travel Agents who think they “own” the industry.

I was walking home with the kids and my neighbor on Thursday and we stopped in the culdesac to chat a bit longer. While talking, I opened up my mailbox to get the mail with my monthly issue of Travel Agent Magazine in the mix. I typically look forward to each and every publication and wanted to see this months “cover”. When I saw the cover, I smirked, shook my head and commented “Good grief”.

My neighbor who was standing in front of her mailbox ask me what the comment was for, and I held up the front of the publication to show her. She asked “What’s that all about?” and I simply commented that the man in the mask…is supposed to depict someone like me.

She laughed and asked “That’s suppose to be YOU?!” and I responded, “No, not me specifically, but someone like me because of the company I work with.”

I told her of the issues Travel Agents have had for years concerning “card mills” and downright phobias regarding MLM’s and what we have presumably done to disgrace, embarrass, and ruin their reputations as “Professionals”. You wanna know her reaction?

“And that’s their answer?”

Yep, afraid so. I went on to tell her about forums and blogs these “Professionals” hang out on to discuss all the wrongs, all the injustice, all the problems they can think of on a daily basis. How at one time I had befriended some of them, and because I’m not willing to change host agencies or simply get out all together, I’m now an outcast and seen as the man in the mask. (And then some.)

“How does that make you feel?” she asked. I thought about it, for say… a nanosecond, and replied with “How’s it suppose to make me feel?” I went on to ask a couple of more questions, like how someone I don’t even know, or more importantly doesn’t know me, should own any feelings one way or the other? I asked if she see’s any connection to me and the man in the mask. Do I look and act like that to her?

She thought that was a strange question based on the look on her face, because we happen not only to be neighbors, but friends. To think an article or even this cover will cancel out years of friendship does sound a bit over the top. I’ve heard that if you join and MLM that you can kiss your family and friends goodbye, because you have to hound them about joining the MLM you’re involved in, (any MLM) and they eventually get fed up with the constant badgering and eventually disown you.

It’s been over 4 years now, and I’m still waiting for THAT shoe to drop.

It’s not that I haven’t heard story after story about MLM’s destroying friendships and families. There are those who can’t fathom being unemotional or unattached to an attack like what’s depicted in the picture. Family especially, would want to protect those they are closest too from being “stained” in this way. I might be the same way when I was far less secure about my own abilities and worth.

But I have to wonder, why after all this time, all this energy, all the “talk” about how bad things are, just why a professional publication would even think that an article like this is a good idea. What some in our industry have categorized as “card mills” have been around for over a decade now, and the industry is only a small fraction closer to resolving this so called problem and embarrassment than they were back then.

There have been suppliers, (who by the way are the ones who grant these FAM’s and perks not the Agents or Associations) who have taken a stand in some form or fashion. Sandals for example, was one of the first I can think of who would provide a complimentary night or nights based on production. Doesn’t really matter which host you’re associated with; if you produce, you’re rewarded. The concept isn’t much different from a frequent flier program, which provides anyone who supports a particular airline is granted perks like free airfare. It’s also why I like the Carnival requirements that came out a year ago January. A minimum of 5 full paying cabins (double occupancy) are required, BEFORE you’ll be considered to partake in a FAM with them.

But for some reason, that’s not good enough for some, as you can clearly see in the comments section of the digital format of this cover story. There are those who simply can’t get over their own hang ups about “their” industry to see that someone is there on a FAM because they earned it. We’re participating in an industry seminar with them because we have a desire to learn. We join in on a summit because we want to expand our knowledge.

Instead, they snub their nose at the supplier because they welcome anyone who produces, regardless of what Host Agency, or so called “card mill” they may be associated with, as if the supplier would even care who they consider “worthy”.

We’ve run into the same problem most recently with Debbie Maier and Mailpound. Ms. Maier took the time to come to a Red Carpet Event to roll out a new private labeled e-marketing site for YTB to help our company promote and sell more travel to our clients. While the site does have a listing of FAM’s associated with it, the main purpose of this site is to enable Travel Agents to send out promotional e-mails and marketing materials to clients to actually sell travel. When she came to the Home Office she was, and I quote, “completely – blown – away” over the passion YTB has for this industry.

And because she now provides this service to YTB, and has seen first hand that YTB is a real travel company, she and her company have now been black listed. There are “Professionals” who are not only promoting that other agents send her an e-mail that “they know” who she’s working with, but if any of the e-mails or comments are like the ones I’ve seen…she’ll need to shower after being vomited on by this outspoken and obnoxious group of “legitimate agents”.

That’s the game plan, to make life as uncomfortable as possible in the hope that they just throw in the towel because the backlash isn’t worth it.

Based on a webinar that I know happened last week, there may be more of this kind of tactic coming from this group. The same day YTB was promoting Princess Cruises, (a Sail-A-Thon to sell full fair cabins, not FAMS) another group was planning how to get more of these types of “cover stories” out there to media outlets to warn the public about the masked men and women who are involved in what they’ve deemed to be undesirable Host Agencies. I know that these Associations are the be all and end all for some, and there have been Agencies associated with many of them to add credibility. (We saw how well that worked out, didn’t we?)

While I was invited to this little gathering with these very prominent and important people and associations in the industry, I declined the offer. I asked the question of how this type of behavior would make me a better person, a better Travel Agent, and a better Leader, but like most of the questions I ask, they were left unanswered. (Ignored was more like it.)

They are welcome to do what they do, and I’ll do what I do. That’s promoting a rebroadcast of the Princess Sail-A-Thon this afternoon at 4:00 pm Eastern to sell more cruises. It’s far more productive, supports the hand that feeds me, (and them) and helps bring the truth to light.

Mall Cop

Digg me

It’s been somewhat of a negative week here on this blog, so I’ve decided to switch gears and adjust a bit to a lighter direction to finish up the week. I just don’t know how some people can be so bitter day in and day out. It’s not that they don’t have fun, but when you do it at the expense of others, criticizing day after day, to me that just reeks of the large pile of manure that’s gotten so high it’s overshadowed any real issues that are going on in our industry right now. You were given two ears and two eyes, but only one mouth for a reason. That’s why I decided to promote Paul Henderson’s idea of industry standards at the beginning of the week. While I don’t agree with the way he went about it, I do agree with his message of industry standards so everyone has a playing field they can not only see and understand, but a clear guideline in who can call themselves a “Travel Agent”.

As much as this industry need some type standard requirements, accreditation and training, some are content to simply complain about what’s wrong, thinking if they market effectively against the Card Mills, the problems will magically go away. Mind you, this type of marketing has been going on for YEARS, while they readily admit that the programs they despise continue to spring up relentlessly.

So you may want to ask them…”How’s that working for you so far?”

They’ve learned no lessons from jokers like Robert Fitzpatrick, John Taylor, Dean Van Druff who have been attempting to slander, (sorry “educate”) the public about the pitfalls of MLM for years. When smart people run across this type of propaganda they see right through the hype. Most of these jokers have been at it for decades and are no closer to ridding the world of this model than they were back then. In fact, the industry has boomed despite the organizations designed to promote how you’ll loose your family, friends, all your money and dignity along the way. You would think you could find a better mouse trap after all this time, but that’s all you get when emotions overrun your logical thinking.

So I’ve decided to take a break, regroup and hopefully come back with a solution instead of joining this obsession over the problem.

The purpose here isn’t because I want to ignore the issues, but change the vibration and mood to enable me to come from a more positive approach. As we’ve seen over the last couple of years, very little has changed for the critics and their perception of Travel MLM’s despite all the changes made by the companies themselves.

They’re still convinced that the only way to correct any issues is to take up the role of snitch, enforcer, or better clarified for me as “Mall Cops”.

Right or wrong, the stereotype of a “Mall Cop” is one who just couldn’t make it as a “real cop” and the only “enforcement job” they can get is that of a security guard. I actually know a “Mall Cop”, and can assure you that not all of them actually fit that stereotype, but the fact remains that most people do perceive the profession in this way.

Hollywood recently came out with a movie that we saw a trailer for when we hosted our daughters birthday party with hundreds of other screaming girls just wooing over Zac Efron in High School Musical 3. (Don’t ask…) Both my wife and I love Kevin James to begin with and find his physical comedy incredibly funny. The roll of Paul Blart seems perfectly suited for him and it looks to be somewhat of a “Die Hard” spoof with some very funny slapstick comedy.

So the wife and I will be heading out to dinner and a movie to escape and laugh out loud. Why not? It takes less energy and puts both of us in a much better mood and enjoy what life has to offer. (Okay, what Hollywood has to offer, but you get the idea.)

If you know what’s good for you, you too would be best served in finding something to laugh at. (And doing it at the expense of others doesn’t count, because slamming someone to the ground just makes them lower, not you higher.)

While it’s difficult dealing with negativity and critics who only know how to use one part of their anatomy, YOU would be better served to use two others by either seeing or hearing of something truly enjoyable to help change the negative vibrations being pummeled on you via the media, the internet, and even people you might know personally.

Watch this trailer and see if it doesn’t turn that frown upside down, and if it does, I hope to see you at the theater this weekend.

Here’s Mud In Your Eye

Thursday, January 8th, 2009

Digg me

Remember the rumor late last year that a MAJOR supplier was going to send notice to a MAJOR MLM/Card Mill that they will be parting ways January 1?.

While a name was not mentioned, you certainly know the drill.

mud-in-eyeWho could it be?

Is the cookie starting to crumble?

Are suppliers beginning to see the light?

The same unsubstantiated and bogus claims and speculation that’s simply thrown out there to cast doubt. You would think a former journalist would know how to confirm information with a “reputable source“, but that’s not important when you need to squash a company and a business model you don’t agree with.

Turns out the rumor of a major supplier cutting someone in this industry off was true. But it wasn’t YTB.

Sorry.

If there’s any rumor or bad news going around the Travel Industry, YTB seems to always pop up as the one who it’s got to be about. If someone hears about downsizing, it’s got to be YTB, not Liberty Travel. If a company is rumored to disappear in the middle of the night without warning, it’s got to be YTB, not Cruise Value Center. If someones not paying their Agents, it’s got to be YTB, not Joystar.

While all three of these agencies have lawsuits pending in court, who is everyone is talking about?

YTB.

I guess it’s true that dogs don’t bark at parked cars.

Most recently the hope was that if a supplier is going to cut anyone off, it had to be YTB. o supplier was named a few days ago after a dot was left missing, (Omitted from a list along with dozens of other suppliers we do business with) which conveniently justified pinning the supplier where they wanted, on YTB. Even after myself and others questioned the validity, the rumor persisted, until it was finally squashed by the supplier themselves.

Now there’s a novel idea, instead of guessing, ask the source. Who knew?

News confirming the supplier/agent rumor came late afternoon first by phone, and then confirmed by a trade publication that Carnival has cut off Joystar in this absolutely hideous and embarrassing chain of events.

Because Bill Alverson has a ties to a failed MLM back in the 1990′s, you can bet your bottom dollar that this will somehow give MLM a black eye. For the record, I never considered Joystar an MLM, it’s just not the same structure, and I don’t know if anyone would be able to accept that it management that runs a company into the ground, (think Enron here) not a model.

For the record, Carnival is not terminating Joystar because it’s a “card mill”, Carnival is doing what right for the Agents who booked their clients with the cruise line. Joystar has not and is not paying it’s agents their commissions owed them. Those who were with Joystar and now with another host can move future bookings, if they have not been paid in full, to the other host “upon written authorization of the traveler”.

I’m still attempting to put together a legal liability due to an involuntary bankruptcy petition that was filed on January 2nd. From what I understand the liability in this “involuntary bankruptcy” could land on Carnival if they continued to accept bookings from Joystar. If true, (and I’m still attempting to verify at the time of this writing) we could see other suppliers follow Carnivals lead terminating Joystar from future bookings. “Involuntary Bankruptcy” is not all that common and I’m sure there are links out there, but I don’t have the patience to understand “legal talk” right now.

Just don’t be surprised if you see more suppliers make this move.

Because I’ve written about Liberty, Cruise Value Center, and now Joystar issues in our industry, I’ve received both e-mails and phone calls from former Liberty Travel employees, Cruise Value Center clients, and now Joystar Agents who simply don’t know what to do. Clients with Cruise Value Center are the easiest to direct, as long as they have a booking number, but Liberty Travel and Joystar appear to be in a real quandary right now. What’s frustrating for me is that very few seem to care. These Agents, especially Joystar, have had income suddenly cut off.

Agents with Joystar have been without commissions since September and are struggling right now to come up with the money to fight for what’s owed them. If you’d like to help or if you are one of the Joystar agents that are owed commissions, you can find information here.

Maybe it’s time to start looking at and taking care of some of your own?

Author’s Edit: It appears that Norwegian Cruise Line has also ceased doing business with Joystar as just reported in TravelPulse. Effective immediately, “The company will no longer accept new reservations from Joystar or any of its affiliated agents,” an NCL spokesperson said. “NCL will continue to service existing Joystar reservations booked prior to Jan. 5, 2009.”

In another developing story, Wheel of Fortune has also gotten into the mix after a sister company of Joystar, VacationCompare.com, failed to provide the prizes to Promotion Consideration, who arranges prizes for game shows like Wheel of Fortune.

The Naughty List…

Friday, December 26th, 2008
12
Digg me

I happen to be out of town, (without internet access!) but enjoying the Holiday with family none the less. I decided to schedule something for today before news became old news next week. First and foremost however, I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, and although at the time of this writing, presents are still wrapped under the tree, by the time this is posted and you are reading, I’ll be enjoying gifts my kids had made for me, and of course finding what Santa brought.

agent-gossipThat being said, don’t think for a second that there isn’t something to talk about over this extended Holiday weekend.

Are you kidding me? This Industry?

While the jury may be out if some made Santa’s “Naughty” or “Nice” list, after what I’ve been reading the last several months, it’s time to bring this “Naughty” Agency to the forefront after a year long hiatus.

Back in October 2007 this blog gained considerable notoriety after tackling the issue head on concerning Royal Caribbean who terminated its relationship with no more than four Agencies. Two of those agencies came to light very quickly and the industry outrage on the internet concerning “Card Mills” came to a head.

Although it’s been documented that Royal Caribbean did in fact terminate four Agencies, Lisa Bauer, VP of Sales with Royal Caribbean at the time, skirted the direct questions asked by Travel Weekly concerning just who these Agencies were. To this day, there has been nothing to verify, although there has been plenty of speculation, any more than two Agencies. That being of course YTB and the other being Joystar.

Other than YTB, I can’t think of another Agency that has been the target of more controversy than Joystar. If you look at the founders history, you’ll get a better understanding to just why, and I did document his exploits with the first Travel MLM (TravelMax) back in the mid 1990’s. It looks as if both Bill Alverson’s and Joystar’s issues have not subsided, but in fact increased a year later.

While you found nothing concerning any new issues on this blog, there has been plenty to write about concerning Joystar a year after being terminated by Royal Caribbean. In addition, no less than three headline news stories broke back in October of 2008 concerning the Host Agency. One, October 9th, reported that Joystar failed to pay commissions owed to its independent contractors along with laying off 14% of its staff. Later in the month, on October 23rd, it was reported the CLIA revoked Joystar’s Membership for not renewing its Seller Of Travel License with California. (Although it appears that SOT’s have been made current as well as its association with CLIA.) The very next day, October 24th, it was reported that InterContinental Hotels Group filed a federal lawsuit against Joystar for claiming more than $163,000 in improper commissions.

And some think YTB has problems?

Actually, that’s what a small group would like you to believe as they obsess over anything they can drum up to cast fear and doubt because they’re convinced the YTB “model” is flawed…doomed to collapse. (Yet the “model” started to take shape over a century ago, and still standing tall.) Part of drumming up anything these poor folks can think of is this notion that after more than a year of inactivity, suppliers will again take up the cause of these Agents and Associations and start terminating relationships with Agencies critics simply don’t agree with moving into 2009.

One of the favorite ploys of critics is not implicating YTB directly, but word posts and threads in a way that gives them an out if egg is then thrown back in their face. Naughty for sure after reading comments, as there appears to be no question just who they hope the Agency is. Just one of the dozens of posts I sent to Santa this year for the “Naughty List”. As they wait to see if the rumor is true with gleeful anticipation, Santa more than likely coaled the entire lot of them for lack of good cheer.

I never like this type of speculation and rumor. It’s far too easy for hearsay like this to come back and bite you when documentation squashes the rumor you’re attempting to spread. Especially when you find out that the rumor started in an attempt to point the finger at one host, was initially about an entirely different host.

It appears the glass slipper that some are attempting to slip on YTB belongs to Joystar.

Agents are using the Joystar community board to voice their complaints. One posting dated Dec. 17 claimed Carnival Cruise Lines was prepared to cease doing business with Joystar if the agency did not make good to agents. When queried about the posting, Carnival declined to comment.

To be fair, there is nothing to substantiate ANY rumor that Carnival or any other supplier for that matter will be terminating anyone. Instead, I would look at the last year and ask just how many suppliers terminated its relationship with any Agency in 2008.

Of course that answer is Zip…Zilch…Nada…not one.

Yet there are some who still want to hang onto this small glimmer of hope that suppliers might come around. If the rumor is true about Carnival terminating its relationship with Joystar, can you blame them? (That would be “No”.) It’s been documented that Carnival believes these Agents, no matter what host they’re associated with are the life blood of their sales force.

But how much would you want to wager, that if Carnival does terminate Joystar because its failed to pay the commissions owed its Agents, the speculation will be that YTB is next in line? It’s what some will do I’m sure in order to restore this whole fiasco about suppliers “getting it” to surface yet one more time. I know that sounds irrational, but you have to understand the anger and resentment that creates such illogical thinking. Just accept that this is another small thread critics reach for in their attempt to pin someone else’s misfortune to YTB.

With the news out Tuesday about Joystar being down to just 5 employees and the thousands of dollars in commissions owed its Agents, I have to wonder if Peter Stilphen, (a pompous and overzealous Joystar critic who’s been plastering both Bill Alverson and Joystar for years) will be having a Merry Christmas this year?

I don’t know if there will be anyone really posting about this over the Holiday’s or into next week for that matter. I guess I’ll have to check and update you when I get back first of next week.

In the meantime, I’d like to enjoy my time with family and finalize some goals I have moving into 2009 while I have some time away from the internet and all it’s trappings.

It will be interesting to see what 2009 will bring, and while there are some who claim to know what’s going to happen, take some time to do what a couple of my favorite mentors have taught me over the years.

“Don’t believe a word you hear, unless you can verify it on your own to be true.”

Which I suppose is one of the reasons why people like this blog so much. Instead of spreading rumors and hearsay about what they’ve heard about or read about somewhere else, without a single shred of documentation to back it up, they come here for documentation and truth.

That’s why I’m on Santa’s “Nice List”.

Travel Weekly Looks Ahead to 2009

Digg me

Travel Weekly is certainly taking advantage of the popularity of it’s new online format with it’s second Virtual Summit slated for today and tomorrow. You know how much I love these types of events and enjoyed participating in the first annual Leisure Summit back in October. The current summit is the second of three scheduled in less than 6 months, and it appears that Travel Weekly may be on to something here.

The conference runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and attendance is free, and has all the trappings for being yet another blockbuster event. It’s riddled with mystery as industry experts look into their crystal ball and tell us what to expect in 2009. Preview 2009 also features educational seminars and keynote speakers with a superb agenda embracing valuable industry topics. Of course, not to forget the chance to mingle with travel agents and travel industry leaders and get a sneak peak of their products for 2009.

Both days will feature hosted chats with Travel Weekly’s award winning editorial team and access to visit pavilions from the industries leading suppliers. Educational Presentations will include.

  • The 2009 Travel Consumer in the 2009 World Economy
  • A Crystal Ball Session: Industry CEO’s Predict 2009 Trends. Featuring Travel Weekly Editor-in-Chief, Arnie Weissmann; Mike Batt, Travel Leaders; Steve Tracas, Vacation.com; Doug Bower, AAA National; and Lynne Biggar, American Express.
  • How will Luxury Be Defined in 2009?
Featuring Kristi Jones, Virtuoso; Jack Mannix, Ensemble; and Ignacio Maza, Signature Travel.
  • Keynote: Peter Greenberg: Travel Talk on TODAY For 2009
  • A Crystal Ball Session: The Cruise Market of 2009
Featuring Brad Tolkin, Cruise One, Cruises Only and Cruise 411; Charlie Funk, Just Cruisin’ Plus and a Vacation.com agency; Roger Block, Cruise Holidays and Travel Leaders; and Jeff Anderson, America’s Vacation Center.

There is one other element that will once again prove this to be a widely viewed event.

Controversy.

Much about 2009 is uncertain, but one thing unlikely to change is the controversy surrounding the ever-vexing question of just who is a travel professional. Travel Weekly has assembled the leadership of the organizations that hand out credentials — Bert Rivero of IATA; Bob Sharak of the Cruise Lines International Association; Kelly Chiusano of the Outside Sales Support Network; and Scott Koepf of the National Association of Career Travel Agents — and leaders of agency groups that have a vested interest in the issue of certification: Chris Russo of ASTA; Jan Miller of the Travel Institute; Andi McClure-Mysza of the Professional Association of Travel Hosts; and Kim Sorensen of YTB.

And now because of a name, a company, it appears that our traditional counterparts have have had just about enough concerning Travel Weekly not only asking Kim Sorensen and YTB to participate in this summit but the mere name of YTB should be banned from being mentioned in any Travel Industry publication. After the last summit in October and the “Meet The Press” style interview that was held, a number of articles surfaced condemning Travel Weekly for including YTB. One even went as far as compairing YTB to nothing more than a glorified AARP type program. In reality, the article was written to do nothing more than shame the publishers of Travel Weekly for providing the credibility to YTB who now has what it needs to succeed.

To look at this in a perspective that might state Travel Weekly is mentioning and including YTB because YTB IS successful would surely be considered blasphemy.

Instead, the attention, various emotions and frustration surrounding our company continues to escalate. The longer YTB continues to exists, the higher the emotions climb and the more heated the conversations and arguments get. Now, you have a document from the Attorney General that appears for the time being, to be backing you up. Yet here we are, 5 months after the initial filing, and the President of the MLM your attempting to run out of town is given a voice from “The National Newspaper of the Travel Industry”.

I’m sorry, but that’s got to be one of the most frustrating and awkward realizations staring you right in the face. A good reason for some to dig in their heals even further providing more resistance towards the one thing that if eliminated, would solve all your problems.

I’ve heard some won’t be attending the show simply because Kim Sorensen is associated with the program. In this difficult economic time, I’m not so sure that’s such a good idea, but it’s not my decision to make. Of course, I’m not emotionally attached or obsessed about a single issue, nor do I focus on problems. Solutions no matter where they come from are far more productive. I’ll take what I find useful, and use it. The rest can be left where it is without having to own any of it.

Seems unrealistic to some, I’m sure, but then again, most who feel that way have never even so much as tried. Much like the business model they are certain doesn’t belong in their industry.

Digg me

I know many of you subscribe to my Newsletter. My Monthly issue will be out tomorrow and I wanted to give you a heads up.

You DO NOT want to miss this issue.

I have acquired some very valuable insight as to what has been going on up at the home office, and in California that I will share with you tomorrow via my Newsletter.

I’m not at liberty to post here what kind of enhancements are being rolled out, and will let the company release this information to the public.

What I can tell you is this…

It’s going to put our critics into a frenzy, because what they thought was going to happen is actually making our company much more attractive and stronger to a wider audience who may be looking into a Home Based Business.

This would include even more Traditional Travel Agents.

Contact your team, send them to my Newsletter opt-in page and please make sure they know that I will be verifying both that they are an existing RTA and the e-mail matches what they have registered with YTB.

Until then…
