“Railroaded” is a very keen choice of words William. We were also opposed to the thousands of dollars in additional fees and interest tacked on after we requested that our accounts be closed. Fortunately that practice is now void with the new legislation imposed by the Accountability Responsibility and Disclosure Act.

Based on the pages and pages of suits filed via this link, I’m wondering if there would be anything for us if we did file a suit?

Thanks for the link!

Thank you for sharing your story. I too have always paid my bills on time while credit card companies purposely withheld payment until after the due date. We too were forced into arbitration by Mann Bracken and Wolpoff and Abramson with FIA and AMX. Each case not only found in favor of the banks but added several thousand dollars in addition to what we actually owed. Thousands of people have been railroaded by this process and company and are now fighting back. I suggest you join this list of lawsuits against Mann Bracken found here.

It’s time we stop the illegal and unlawful practice against innocent consumers.

Well, I’m not void of human thought or behavior. Please pass along how sorry I am for what you both have had to endure. In addition, thank you for having the class, character, humility, and honesty to not only expose real fraud and deceit, but the wisdom to place your energy and efforts where it should be. It shows incredible strength.

You are a true asset to our company and society.

Proud to know you!

I wish I could tell you differently, (especially for Ronda’s sake) but any type of apology is pure fantasy.

While there’s new legislation with sweeping changes to protect all consumers and the largest credit collector in the land has been shut down due to fraud, they’re still under the illusion that MLM is the REAL problem and all guys like me do is lie, cheat, and steal.

You can’t expect anything more from people who are void of the most basic human traits. I could really care less right now. They’re not the issue or the real problem.

In light of what happened I’m in the driver’s seat right now with the one remaining creditor I have.

Makes me very happy that I stuck to my guns and didn’t file as well. ;-P

My sister and her husband went through the same thing Doug. My brother-in-law was laid off and when they tried to make other arrangements they jacked up the rate and had to resolve it the same way. I don’t know if the creditor was Mann Bracken or not, but I do remember how difficult it was. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone!!

PS – I hope Ronda gets her apology.
