I have said so, many times in the past, as have other TTA's. I didn't "waste" any time, I was just correcting the incorrect information you continue to put out there as fact. Again I ask, why is it okay for you and other MLMers to point out any errors that a TTA might make, but not okay for a TTA to point out an error that you might make? And if you consider the fact that you were corrected on something a personal attack, then that's your issue, not mine.

Oh...RECRUITING is the problem!

Than why did you waste all this time about Delta, online companies, our help center and the personal attack and not just say so?

FireMedic, Doug has no credibility because he lies about things. He said that he wasn't going to participate in the TRO webinar because of the Princess Sail-A-Thon. Well, there are 3 hours between the two, giving him ample time to do both. Instead of trying to use the excuse and implying that he was going to be busy doing something else, why couldn't he just man up and say that he didn't think it would be worthwile? He wants to participate in something "productive and positive." Bully for him, but he keeps saying that there needs to be a dialogue, and here is a perfect opportunity for him to dialogue, yet he refuses.

No, I haven't checked the help section of a ytb website in a while, but as usual, ytb didn't make any changes until AFTER it was expressly pointed out what was wrong with them sending clients directly to the vendors. If they truly wanted to be all about customer service, why didn't they have in-house help from the get go?

And yes, I did play the "TA" role to a T, because that's what I am, a travel agent. I'm not a marketer like the majority in ytb.

And Fire, answer me this. Why is it not okay for me or any other TTA to point out errors in the information that is being put out there by a representative of ytb, but it's okay for all of you to point out any faults that the TTA's may have? Isn't that a bit hypocritical?

And Doug, we ARE addressing the issues at hand. It seems that it's you that want to avoid them. As I have stated before, when ytb and all the other MLM travel companies stop focusing on marketing themselves and recruiting, and start focusing on travel, then all will be well. When ytb and other MLM travel companies start making more money from the sale of travel and not from the sale of their websites, then all will be well. What part of that do you NOT understand?

I did a little research on Paul too. Impressive comes to mind.

That TA group tells us all the time “if you don’t like it, leave”. So I did, and life is much more normal and productive. (I really should thank them for that valuable advice.)

It’s like my drinking, I just don’t have any desire to pick up again and get mixed up in the cesspool of condemnation, disrespect, and down right rude behavior.

But the arrogance according to them….is mine. ;-P

I know Paul Henderson from past businesses and my experience of him is that he is a good leader. I appreciate his article.

I did notice how Ainsworth, as usual, tries to discredit someone by finding one thing he believes is wrong with them. Since Doug refuses to take part in the forum then he has no credibility. Right.

The arrogance just never seems to end.

I'll stand by what I originally said in my post.

“Now I don’t agree with everything, but unlike the Traditionalists in our industry, I’m not going to split hairs or point out “what’s wrong” simply to belittle a message that I do agree with. (A nice trick that I’m sure Paul understands all too well.) The minor points shouldn’t overshadow a strong message that I, and I think most Travel MLM’s can stand behind, although I’ll allow everyone concerned to form their own opinions.”

Ainsworth is certainly entitled to his opinion, but I can't help but notice that he played the TA role to a “T”.

I will give him props for Delta being the first to pull the rug from under him, instead of American.

His illusions about me wholeheartedly agreeing with Henderson, and that online Agencies are not designed to enable people to book their own travel via the internet are considerably off the mark. (Never mentioned anything about the call centers they have as a backup to help those who can't figure it out on their own.)

In addition he hasn't actually checked the "help section" of our booking engines in some time.

I have my doubts about getting the same props from him. (Oh well...)

Precisely why I have no desire to participate in their little witch hunt that bends the perception of reality and doesn’t address the real issues at hand.

We are no closer to figuring out what it's going to take to considered a true "Travel Agent" in this industry because of his outburst.

I didn't realize that the Princess sail-a-thon was the same day and agree that's time much better served.

Did you see the rebuttal this morning? What do you think? They really do love to hate you.

No “other words” necessary.

I simply choose to participate in something productive and positive. YTB and Princess will provide that for myself and my clients.

So, in other words, you choose not to participate in something where you have the opportunity to voice your opinions, and hear why IATA and ASTA think you and your brethern are not a viable option in the industry? And not for the reason stated above, that you have to attend the Princess Sail-A-Thon? Then why not be a man about it and state that to begin with? Why blame it on something else, and not the fact that you have nothing of value to say?

Ainsworth;

Forgive me if I don't have a desire to listen to negativity and complaining and exercise my choice to not to “tune in”.

But thanks for the offer.
