John;

I’m pleased to see you understood that this is a YTB event. Now if we can take it just a smidge further and get you to realize it’s an event to promote travel, I’d be overwhelmed with pride that I’ve been able to help you understand our business model.

I was sorry to see your increased activity this weekend on the forums and blog. Were you unable to spend the quality time I was with family? Having a cause is nice, but when it overrides the true spirit of a holiday that by design promotes gratitude, and family time, you should consider reconnecting with values the majority of America has.

Not that you have to by any means…just a suggestion.

Doug--this is a YTB event. The Carnival certificate sale and pricing is available to EVERY agency registered with Carnival. Yes, YTB sold a lot of certificates last year and likely they will do so again this year.

Different agencies promote in different ways. Some will have a cruise night in the office, others will do it electronically, others will not do it at all. YTB has chosen to do the big venue and webcast. Honestly, YTB is offering nothing special to the consumer that any other agency can't. The difference is that YTB has 112,000 (or thereabouts) sales people that can pull together and sell maybe 15,000 certificates.
